15 Non-Candy Easter Basket Ideas

15 Non-Candy Easter Basket Ideas

If you’re like me, you’re still trying to figure out what to do with the hoard of Valentine’s Day candy your kids managed to stash. Easter is coming up, and I’m really not too keen on filling their baskets with candy. Thankfully, there are plenty of non-candy items to stock up on now before Easter.

Here are 15 Non-Candy Easter Basket Ideas

1) Easter books.

The excitement of Easter comes with dressing up for church, eating a great family meal, and then sending the kids off on an Easter egg hunt. Consider including some story reading in your day’s festivities. Reading a book about Easter is a great way to end a long day with your kids. The Dating Divas have a great list of Easter-related books for children.

2) Washable chalk.

Kids love coloring, they love being outside, and sidewalk chalk is the perfect combination of these two pleasures. I particularly like that the chalk is washable because no matter how glorious their artwork, it’s nice to be able to clean it off, too.

3) Silly Putty.

I can’t believe this stuff is still around! I used to love playing with Silly Putty. So much so that I actually once fell asleep with it in my hands. Somewhere between falling asleep and waking up the Silly Putty got stuck to the side of my head. To say the resulting haircut was “unfortunate” would be an understatement.

On second thought, maybe this isn’t such a great thing to put in Easter baskets.

4) Balsa Wooden Gliders.

I guess I’m feeling nostalgic, but these were so much fun when my siblings and I were kids! They are just a pure simple pleasure for kids–and adults alike 😉

5) LED Balloons.

Take a pack of our fun blinking, glowing balloons and put them inside some plastic Easter eggs!

6) Temporary tattoos.

My kids love to plaster themselves with tacky tattoos whenever they can get their hands on them. Here’s some cheesy Easter themed tattoos that won’t totally clash with their Easter outfit 😉

7) Puzzles.

I absolutely love puzzles. They keep my kids quiet and not fighting for a solid 15 minutes. Puzzles are a great activity to do after the great Easter feast and egg hunt.

8) Gardening tools.

In the spirit of spring, why not encourage your little one’s green thumb? This Melissa and Doug Gardening Set is an adorable introduction to the wonderful world of gardening.

9) Hatching Eggs.

You might not want to commit to the iconic little chicks of Easter fame, but these self-hatching eggs give your kids the satisfaction of seeing a new little toy “hatch” out these eggs. Simply place the eggs in water and watch them grow right out of their shell!

10) Inflatable Bunny Ringtoss Game.

This game looks totally goofy, which means most kids would love it. I think the picture says it all.

11) Glow Sticks.

Our glow sticks are always hit with the kids. My son likes to pretend that they are light sabers, while my daughter prefers to wield them as batons. Either way, they both love them.

12) Emoji Eggs.

Something tells me that these Easter eggs will be used long after Easter is over. What kid isn’t familiar with the language of emoji? These eggs are sure to spark their creativity and make them laugh to boot.

13) Shopkins.

Chances are that if you have a daughter between the ages of five and ten then you know all about Shopkins. For those of you in the dark–just keep scrolling down. I don’t even know how many of these tiny little toys my daughter owns. I just know I sometimes step on them and at least they don’t hurt as bad as legos.

14) Pokemon Figures.

Whereas all the little girls are raving about Shopkins, little boys enjoy things like Pokemon figures. This set comes in metallic Easter eggs, making it the perfect thing to include in your little dude’s basket.

15) Bubbles.

It’s no secret that since the beginning of time kids have adored bubbles. They just go nuts when they see them. That’s why this bubble gun blaster is perfect for achieving their bubble dreams! Plus, you don’t have to deal with that pesky wand that never gets the results you hoped for.

What do you plan to put in your child’s Easter basket? This year, I’m saving the chocolate bunnies for myself and am giving them some fun little trinkets instead!

Color Powder: Inspired by Holi

Color Powder: Inspired by Holi

There’s an uncanny, but not unpleasant aspect of spring that makes young and old alike just a little bit giddy. Bare winter branches begin twitching with new leaves. Soil warms and out pops new life. Daylight extends and suddenly the days are longer and open to possibility. The configuration of all these factors is what makes spring a truly joyful season.

In India, spring is announced and celebrated by the festival of Holi. Holi is an annual festival that is celebrated on the day after the full moon in the Hindu month of Phalguna (early March). The perfect end to winter, Holi rejoices in all the color that comes with the spring season.

A celebration of love, new life, and brotherhood, Holi is kicked off by the lighting of a giant bonfire. In India, the caste system is still adhered to by stringent standards. However, during Holi, social boundaries are replaced by a merry camaraderie where people of all classes splash each other with color powder. Yes, color powder.

The result is a fabulous array of colorful merrymakers. Doesn’t that sound fun?

If you’re interested in having your own Holi-inspired celebration, we have just about everything you need to replicate these fabulous photos. Our Color Fun Powder Cannons deliver a blast of water-soluble rice powder with just a small twist at the base of the cannon.

Color Powder Cannons for Holi Festival and Color Runs

You can include color powder in all sorts of spring festivities! Here are a few of our favorite ways to incorporate this fun accessory:

1) Color Events

Color events like Color Run and HOLI ONE have become a very popular recreational activity. Relays, runs, and races are all enhanced by a splash of color powder. In fact, the color takes precedence over the physical activity largely because its just so darn fun.

girls-438148_1920

It seems that the goal of these color events is to get great photos. And why not? With color this vibrant why wouldn’t you bedeck yourself with it?

girl-438162_1920

I think if I were to ever attend one of these events, I would sport shades. It just seems to up the cool factor by several degrees.

2) Holi-Inspired Family Photoshoot

I don’t know about you, but getting my three kids to cooperate for family photos is an utter nightmare. I deal with the overly-cheesy smile, the sulky look, and the toddler who always runs away. It’s hard to get everybody to perform for the camera while composing a decent expression on my own face.

I do believe that this year’s Christmas card will be a sensation, though. Yes, I know Christmas is a long way off. Family photos don’t happen often and most folks resort to using the best one of the year–whether it’s from January, July, or November, take the best and go with it.

These tips from I Heart Faces are great for achieving a vibrant Holi look for your family photos. Our cannons would blast away with even more color than what is pictured here, so, OMG can you imagine???

3) Playful Engagement Session

Spring wedding season is almost here, and many brides and grooms are looking for unique and fun details to include in their receptions. A bold, color-splashed portrait would make a great photo for guests to sign as they enter into the reception. These photos would also be a fun addition to a wedding slideshow.

While we’re at it, a color powder photoshoot would also be the perfect wedding announcement or save the date card! I know if an engaged couple sent me something like this I would display it proudly upon my fridge–and that’s saying something. I have the artwork of three brilliant children to hog fridge space 😉

4) Kids Birthday Parties

Is it just me, or have kids’ birthday parties become so much more over-the-top than they used to be? I think we have Pinterest to blame for that. I know several moms who are AMAZING at the whole theme, decor, and activity thing. I try not to resent them too much.

Me? Not so much. I love ideas, but I have a hard time juggling multiple things at once. My children saw the pictures of Holi festivals and their mouths literally dropped open.

People can color themselves? People can get messy in a substance other than dirt? Can we be these people???

I think that, if you give parents fair warning, incorporating the color powder cannons could be a great way to make an unforgettable birthday for your kid. Just letting them run around and be free to make a mess is every child’s dream.

holi-594333_960_720

I love the look of sheer joy on these kids faces. I think this might be what we do for my son’s 6th birthday party!

So now that spring is here, how are you going to incorporate Holi (and our color powder cannons) into your life?

St. Patrick’s Day Party Essentials

St. Patricks Day Party Essentials

It feels unfair that all the best holidays get lumped between October 31st and January 1st. There is always an adjustment to settle into a dull January after the excitement of Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. DIY Glowing Leprechaun Trap

DIY Leprechaun Trap

St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner! I know, I know. Your head is still reeling from all the Valentines Day sugar and hoopla. However, if you have kids in elementary school you know that things are about to get real crafty in your household, whether you like it or not.

When I was little, we celebrated St. Patrick’s Day by wearing green and pinching anybody who dared not wear it. Aside from the occasional “wieners and cabbage” that mom liked to rustle up, wearing green was pretty much the extent of our Irish festivities. Today, kids enjoy all sorts of “pranks” from errant leprechauns, or, parents. To tell you the truth the pressure is a bit intense.

For instance, Growing a Jeweled Rose has a bunch of ways to introduce the “magic” of St. Patrick’s Day to children. That’s right. This holiday needs to be magical. The good news is there are some funny ways to execute this magical scheme. My personal favorite is the Leprechaun feet on the toilet seat! I know my kids would die laughing if they saw this. It’s easy, funny, and may have repercussions you should have seen coming. Pranks like this one take the whole “pinching” tradition to a whole new level.

Now, back to elementary school kids. The new tradition of St. Patrick’s Day is the Leprechaun Trap wherein kids find creative ways to “trap” the naughty leprechaun who undoubtedly come to their classroom to make mischief. There are a number of ways to snare the leprechaun, but I think that a faulty hot-air balloon is the perfect booby-trap!

DIY Glowing Leprechaun Trap

The thing that makes this Leprechaun Trap extra fun is the LED balloon. Everybody knows leprechauns are sneaky and come out when you least expect them. What better time to sneak out then in the dark? Our LED balloon will entice the greedy leprechaun to snatch the fake gold.

DIY Leprechaun Trap

Materials needed:

  • Styrofoam board
  • Wooden skewers, chopsticks, or dowel rods
  • Matches
  • Paper cups
  • Green LED balloon

leprechaun trap

I spray-painted my board green and hand painted a little walkway on top. My kids punched out a bunch of circles from random paper we have laying around the house to outline the walkway.

leprechaun trap

This isn’t a necessary step but it kept them occupied and happy for a solid ten minutes. I call that a win. You can decorate the board however you want with paint, paper, flowers, pompoms, or even legos. The sky is the limit on this one.

We used gold glitter on our cup because life is short and glitter is awesome. Cut the bottom of the cup out so your leprechaun will fall into the trap. My kids pointed out that our trap would be better if there was a bell on the ladder to alert us of leprechaun activity. I have no bells on hand, but you might want to include that extra detail.

The cup is secured with BBQ skewers and hot glue. I should add that you don’t want to use a Styrofoam cup if you’re using hot glue. *ahem.

Our ladder was constructed out of BBQ skewers, matchsticks, and hot glue. Yes, I burnt a finger making a tiny leprechaun ladder. My daughter and I find this thing ridiculously cute and it’s going in the dollhouse after St. Patrick’s Day.

ladder

The LED balloon is the star of this project, and will definitely score cool kid points. We had to use a little tape to secure it to our wooden skewers.

My kids were so excited with how this turned out! We had fun making it and can’t wait to show it to their classmates!

5 Spring Wedding Themes

5 Spring Wedding Themes

After the gray, white, and brown shades of winter we are all sighing at the prospect of a multicolored, vibrant spring. While winter allows for comfort food, reading by fireside, and of course traipsing through the snow, it’s in spring that we get to enjoy crisp salads, fragrant flowers, and hours spent outdoors. Allergies aside, spring is a welcome change for everyone.

The pastoral weather and abundant blooms of spring are what captivate brides and solidify this reigning wedding season. Superior Celebrations caters to your wedding needs and our traditional wedding confetti is definitely a bestseller. The burst of confetti has a feather-like effect that makes for dreamy wedding exits.

However, to pay some homage to the coming spring we thought it best to showcase a different choice in wedding confetti.

Enter multi-color confetti cannons. We have two options for multi-colored confetti cannons. We have a multi-color confetti cannon that is made of paper and bio-degradable. We recommend this cannon for indoor venues because the paper is crisp and easy to clean up.

If you’re having an outdoor wedding, we recommend the multi-color wedding confetti cannon which is made of rice paper and is water-soluble. This stuff is a cinch to clean up–simply rinse it off and you’re done!

The splash of cheerful color falls in a petal-like fashion–just perfect for spring.

It looks equally stunning for day or night weddings.

We thought you might enjoy seeing a few of the many spring weddings themes that could be enhanced with multicolored confetti cannons.

5 Colorful Spring Wedding Themes

1) Cinco De Mayo Wedding

May is always a popular month for weddings, and we love what Greg Blomberg Photography and Bows and Arrows did with this Cinco De Mayo wedding shoot in Dallas. This is such a fun and colorful spring wedding theme!

spring wedding themes

The colors here are definitely not shy! Every detail in this wedding is saturated and bold and owns the party vibe. Even the bride opted out of a traditional veil wore a stunning headdress reminiscent of Frida.

Their choice to use Cinco De Mayo as a theme invites guests to celebrate with the bridal couple in fun and memorable ways. For instance, arranging a piñata in the the center of the dance floor allowed for a surprising detour from typical reception rituals. I have to say, given the choice to jump for a bouquet or bat a giant piñata I will always choose the piñata.

The only thing missing from this fun wedding is our multicolored confetti cannons.

2) Colorful Southern Whimsy Wedding

Here in the South we do things with pizazz. Seeing how this Tennessee couple captured the sweetness of the South with the joy of their celebration just makes me want some sweet tea pronto.

Using classic Kate Spade black and white stripes gave them the perfect canvas to splurge on bold colors and details. How about showcasing citrus in the bouquets? They used a lime in the bride’s bouquet, and vintage whiskey bottles in the centerpieces. That sounds like a really fun wedding to attend. To see the whole gallery and check out the different vendors visit Ruffled.

3) Splash of Color Wedding

The abundance of colors available for a spring wedding makes it really hard to settle on a select few. That’s why some brides opt to use ALL THE COLORS. There are some really tasteful ways to construct a colorful wedding without being gaudy.

For example, this bride had her bridesmaids wear white, but paired different colored bouquets with their shoes. If you look closely, you’ll see that her bouquet marries all of the colors together in a gorgeous display.

The collage above shows various ways to incorporate multiple colors into a gorgeous wedding theme. The effect of combining vivid colors varies from elegant, to playful, to jaw-dropping. One thing is for sure: colorful weddings shout celebration.

The numerous flowers in season during spring give brides the optimal selection for floral arrangements. What’s more, you can save money on flowers during spring! Check out this stunning rainbow of affordable flowers from Kiss My Tulle.

Aren’t those just fantastic?

Beyond our multicolored confetti cannons, you can also purchase various colors of our sky lanterns for a night sky rainbow.

4) Midsummer Night’s Dream Wedding

If you’re looking for a theme that oozes romance then look to the Bard himself. Who better than the man who gave us the romantic comedy genre?  A Shakespeare themed wedding is sure to be both colorful and magical. Playing upon the magic of A Midsummer Night’s Dream gives brides a whole range of details from which to choose.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream is Shakespeare’s iconic tale of entering “into the woods” and accepting enchantment. Faeries, spells, flowers, moss and twinkle lights are what make up the ultimate enchanted wedding. Dive into the play and use some of our favorite wedding items:

5) Pantone Color of the Year Wedding

I just love when Pantone announces the color of the year. I’m a sucker for color and the way Pantone determines which color is hot and trendy is always exciting. This year they actually chose TWO colors and they are the perfect duo for a spring wedding.

Drumroll, please…

Rose Quartz and Serenity. Even the names remind me of a serene bride. While Rose Quartz and Serenity are the color for our year, I think there is something decidedly spring about these colors together. It will be interesting to see if they carry into fall and winter, but for now we can enjoy their magical spring aura. If you’re thinking about adapting Pantone into your spring wedding theme our pink and blue sky lanterns would be a stunning addition! And of course, wedding sparklers are a must.

Easy Party Planning 101

Easy Party Planning 101

Easy party planning–can it be done? Party planning can and should be fun. But there’s this sneaky thing about parties…no matter how much you think about them, they always creep up on you. Feeling unprepared is definitely not fun.

Let’s say you are set to host a baby shower in May. March arrives and you can foresee a beautiful length of time that gives you the space and budget to plan ahead. You blink and it’s April. Life happens, things get busy, and before you know it the shower is right around the corner.

It always pays to plan ahead. Right now we have a great deal going on that gives you the ability to prepare for your parties AND save money! Through February 29, we’re offering 25% off all LED balloons with the purchase of confetti cannons.

What can you do with this great deal? We’re glad you asked. With almost a whole year ahead of us there are plenty of celebrations to anticipate and plan for.

1) Gender Reveal Party

Gender Reveal Party Idea

Are you or any friends expecting a baby? Gender reveal parties are all the rage these days. Our gender reveal confetti cannons are seriously the most exciting way to announce the arrival of your little him or her!

While cutting into a pink and blue cake is fun, the welcoming POP of our cannons, coupled with the splash of confetti is the most delightful way to announce who will be joining your family. We love using the LED balloons to enhance the party vibe. You can capture great photos of “Team Boy” and “Team Girl” in front of our flashing balloons.

2) St. Patrick’s Day

St. Patrick's Day Party Idea

With Valentine’s Day behind us, we’re looking forward to party planning for St. Patrick’s Day! Those of us with kids are looking forward to class parties, Leprechaun Traps, and coloring our kids’ food green. The 20-something crowd is looking forward to rounds of Guinness, dancing, and ridiculous photos. Our green LED balloons are equally festive for both crowds, and our green confetti cannons are always amazing in photos.

3) Birthday Party

LED Balloons

If you’re a parent, chances are that party planning is somewhere in your near future. Using our Winter Blast Sale to stock up now will save for you later. Why?

  • Balloons add dimension and color to every party.

  • They’re an inexpensive way to boost the ambiance of an event.

balloon chandelier

[source]

  • Unlike most party supplies, balloons are clutter-free and storing them is a cinch.

  • They don’t expire.

  • Kids go nuts over them. I cannot even tell you how many times I’ve seen tears shed over losing or popping a balloon. My kids enjoy balloons more than they enjoy playing with most of their toys which is a tad concerning. However, it makes for an easy way to please them.

Whether you have a TMNT birthday party, a princess party, or a Sweet Sixteen coming up, our LED balloons and confetti cannons will only make it better. But if you do have kids, and they’re anything like mine, I recommend you hide your stash.

4) Evening Events

LED balloons add a luminous ambience to dark settings. If you’re having an evening wedding or party there’s a diverse array of options for implementing our LED balloons. With three settings, you can choose a steady glow, soft flashing, or a pulsing light to transform your party’s atmosphere. Some creative ways you might use LED balloons include:

  • Tying them to a mailbox or street sign to signal your guests to the correct location.

  • Using them as a luminary walkway–this is a really pretty way to invite your guests inside.

  • Surrounding your dance floor with flashing balloons will get even the reluctant guests on their feet to dance.

  • With some gold markers and a little imagination, balloons can even be used as elegant centerpieces.

There are countless ways you can incorporate our LED balloons for your event. We recommend you also follow our Balloon Love Pinterest board for more inspiration!

5) Photo Booths

Social media has changed the way to attend parties. It used to be that weddings were only remembered in fluffy white photo albums. Pictures from baby showers existed in a single baby book, and you were lucky if you got pictures of birthday parties.

Today, guests attend events with hashtags, likes, and shares. We collectively share an experience and document it across all of our channels. It’s a fun and thoughtful choice to create a photo booth for your guests to snap pictures. There are countless ways to decorate a photo booth, but we’re partial to the ones that involve balloons and confetti.

We love this idea from The House that Lars Built blog:

We hope you take advantage of this exclusive offer and allow Superior Celebrations to make your event magical. You’ve got the time now to make that party planning easy and stress-free.

DIY “You Make Me Glow” Valentine

DIY "You Make Me Glow" Valentine

If you’re a parent with a child in elementary school then you know the day is fast approaching…The day that requires forethought and planning and shopping and cutting and pasting and packaging and OH MY.

Valentines Day.

The day your kid shows up to school with a customized package for every other child in his or her class. It can be a total nightmare, or it can be a piece of cake, depending on your skill set.

There’s also the added pressure to be a patron of non-sugar-oriented-Valentine-treats. For a holiday whose entire ideology can be interpreted through heart-shaped boxes of chocolate this is a difficult task. The burden rests on you, the parent, to deliver the equivalent rush of sugar via some non-candy conduit.

Here at Superior Celebrations, we are all about embracing each and every holiday with enthusiasm. Valentines Day should be a fun day to express devotion to the beloved people in our life. And while a 3rd grade classmate might not be considered “beloved,” Valentines Day is a great holiday for our children to practice kindness and thoughtfulness to their peers.

This year my kids are giving their friends glow bracelets from Superior Celebrations. My daughter insists on pink, and my son wants to distribute the yellow ones. We printed off these simple cards and I’m calling this Valentines Day a victory.

Here are my top five reasons for purchasing glow bracelets as Valentine favors:

1) Wow factor.

It’s not an understatement to say that kids go nuts over all things glow in the dark. Trust me—they get more satisfaction out of glow in the dark products than we do a hassle-free appointment at the DMV. That’s really saying something.

2) Price point.

You could easily spend over $20 to purchase candy for Valentine favors. Or…You could pay a mere $5.74 for a pack of 50 glow in the dark bracelets. That’s easily his class, her class, and you get to keep the leftovers.

3) Non-sugar points.

Yes, you can score points with the kids while simultaneously making parents happy. They will rejoice in one less sugar-laced object going home with their child.

4) Allergy-free.

Kind of #3 but more real. I cannot even tell you the number of kids who have allergies in both of my kids’ classes. Not only are peanuts, tree-nuts, and gluten off-limits but some kids are even allergic to food coloring. There goes Gummy Bears.

DIY "You Make Me Glow" Valentine

5) Clutter-free.

The beauty of glow-in-the-dark favors is that they have an honest expiration date. While your kids might rally and fight over them TODAY—tomorrow, they will be no more. It’s fun to just let kids enjoy the short-lived excitement of glow toys while coaching them to let go of it later.

For an easy- wow inducing, non-candy-oriented Valentine treat consider purchasing our amazing glow in the dark-bracelets and downloading this simple free printable. Trust me, it’s kid-approved, parent-appreciated, and teacher-sanctioned. What more could you ask for?

My daughter is in 1st grade and loves to customize everything with her own artwork. After printing, simply cut the cards up and let your kids color or write little notes on the back. I recommend taping the bracelet to the top. Remind your children to let their friends “crack” the glow bracelet into place. My kids like to get the full effect by running into a dark room, so they might want to do this when they get home from school.

Enjoy your hassle-free Valentines Day!

Halloween Fun with Light-Up Balloons

Halloween Fun with Light-Up Balloons

I have a confession.  Halloween is one of my favorite holidays to decorate for…if not my favorite.  My kids love it too.  As soon as it turns October 1st, they’re ready to get the house decorated, inside and out.  Now, I don’t love the super scary stuff.  My kids are little so I have to keep my decorations child friendly.  We put up a giant spiderweb in our living room and some garland on the fireplace and we also do several crafts together.  The kids love it.

Halloween Decorations

We have so many fantastically fun halloween products in the store.  The LED balloons can be personalized in so many ways.  They come in white, orange, green, purple, and black.  The orange ones come plain or with these adorable jack-o-lantern faces on them.

Halloween Balloon Decorations

Or take the white balloons and make a ghost by adding a face and some crepe paper.  So easy!  One of my son’s favorite characters is Jack the Pumpkin King from Nightmare Before Christmas.  So, I added Jack’s face to a white LED balloon and hung it up in his room.  He loved it!

Halloween Balloon Decorations

Get creative! You can make all kinds of ghosts, monsters, and jack-o-lantern faces. It’s a perfect craft idea for kids, and really, for adults too.

Halloween Balloon Creatures

The LED balloons have three settings.  They toggle between fast flashing, slow flashing and a steady one.  And I was pleasantly surprised by how long lasting they were!  So perfect for a Halloween party with friends!

Plus, don’t miss our 20% off Halloween sale on glow necklaces and glow sticks!  Both are SUPER bright and so far they’ve lasted for two nights in my kids’ bedrooms.  Add in some confetti cannons and your kids will think you are the coolest parent on the block!

Halloween Confetti CannonsIf we’re being completely honest, we really, really love our confetti cannons. They’re a blast to use, kids love them, and they add a fun energy to any event. Our special Halloween confetti cannons are large, 24-inch cannons that shoot confetti in the shape of black bats and orange pumpkins! They would be great in a haunted house to startle unsuspecting visitors (just don’t shoot them at people), or if your party has dancing, confetti also adds a ton of energy to the dance floor!

Sky Lanterns

Halloween Sky LanternsNo post about Halloween would be complete without one of our most popular items sky lanterns! Our Halloween Sky Lanterns are designed to look like a pumpkin with a jack-o-lantern face, and are a lot of fun for outdoor parties. If you have an outdoor event with a lot of friends, you really need to try these out.

So which items will you try at your Halloween party or event this year? Let us know in the comments!

The folks at Sarasota Ski-A-Rees first discovered Superior Celebrations shortly after the launch of our line-up of handheld confetti cannons back in December. Since then, they’ve become loyal customers, regularly stocking a supply of Red, White, and Blue Confetti Cannons for their water-ski shows on the Sarasota Bay.

Yvonne Roat recently called about her order for an upcoming show, and excitedly shared how they use them. Because the confetti is a biodegradable tissue paper, it’s the perfect addition to a show out on the water. At our request, she followed up by email so we could share her story here on our blog.

Sarasota Ski-A-Rees has been performing water-ski shows for more than 50 years. This year we found the tissue-paper confetti cannons from Superior Celebrations to use in our ski boats. Because they are so easy to operate, the boat crews shoot the cannons off to open each show. The audience loves them and we love they don’t hurt the environment. These cannons would be a nice addition for anyone wanting to do something in a boat or near the beach for safety concerns, ease of use, and environmentally friendly. Great product!

Red, White, and Blue Confetti Cannons at Sarasota Ski-A-Rees

During the show, three boats all converge at high speed with one boat threading a narrow gap between the other two, as the crew on the boats launch the red, white, and blue confetti in an impressive display. As you might expect, it’s a crowd favorite!
