If you follow us on Instagram you’ll know that we love featuring our customers’ gender reveal photos. The guessing games, anticipation, and joyful reveal make these parties one of our favorite celebrations. Our Gender Reveal Confetti Cannons make for pretty fantastic reveals and photos. However, today we want to highlight some other ideas for gender reveal parties and gender reveal announcements. Enjoy!
1. Let’s start with the classic–a Gender Reveal Cake. Cakes are really what got these things going, right? You cut into the cake, find out if it’s pink or blue, and bam! Gender revealed. We love this gorgeous cake by Bake & Art. She truly made this Gender Reveal cake a beauty.
2. Want to create a custom art piece that documents your gender reveal? A wrapped canvas, balloon, and some paint makes for the perfect medium for gender reveal art. If you or your man know your way around a crossbow you can go all Robin Hood and shoot some arrows. Otherwise, darts work just as effectively!
3. If you’re welcoming another child into your home and want to involve the older siblings in the reveal, check out this DIY Stork Piñata. How fun for your kids to find out whether they will have a brother or sister WHILE scoring a bunch of free candy? This gender reveal is a win win.
4. Ever watched a motorcycle do a burnout? Not only is it loud, but it’s full of smoke. This couple channeled their love for motorcycles by using a stunt tire that had colored smoke. How fun is this? Note: you will probably need to have working knowledge of operating motorcycles in order to this one {wink}.
5. Ready for a super simple, highly entertaining reveal? Just get a pink and blue balloon and have your ultrasound technician poke a small hole in the one wrong one with a needle. On the day of, blow up your balloons and see which one stays inflated!
6. For all you sports fans, Babykees has some great products for gender reveal parties! Choose from soccer, baseball, football, and even golf balls to crack open for your reveal. They also have some cute shirts to wear for Team Boy and Team Girl.
7. Another fun idea is to play up the “Bun in the Oven” theme. Have guests choose whether they’ll be on Team Stud Muffin or Team Cupcake. This couple created their own little oven out of a cardboard box and used a smoke bomb inside. How fun is this?
8. We couldn’t pass up the opportunity to share our our favorite gender reveal idea–our cannons! Our Gender Reveal Confetti Kit comes with two pink confetti and two blue confetti cannons. We include instructions to let you know which is blue and which is pink. The confetti is made from a mixture of metallic mylar and paper, and looks absolutely gorgeous when it shoots into the air!
9. There are so many cute ways to announce what you are having, and this one shows the unique personality of each family member! We love how blogger Kate Weiland shared her big news. Daddy chugging PowerAide adds a nice touch of humor to this one, don’t you think?
10. Let’s finish off this list with a bit of magic. Any Harry Potter fans in the house? This Sorting Hat announcement is absolutely brilliant. If only they told us whether baby will be Hufflepuff, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, or Slytherin…
We hope you enjoyed this small collection of Gender Reveal ideas. Welcoming a new child into the world is by far the most exciting celebration to be had, and Gender Reveal parties are a great way to squeeze out the fun. If you’re planning a Gender Reveal party please share it with us on Facebook or Instagram!
