When it comes to planning baby showers there are usually two speeds: boy and girl. Planning a shower around a baby boy finds themes like Peter Rabbit, baseball, and a timeless classic, ducks. And while you can parade your tables with Peter Cottontail and nostalgic bundles of baseballs you will find limits to the amount of “fluff” available.
And then you have baby girl showers. There seems to be no limit to the amount of themes available for baby girl: Parisian poodles, enchanted fairytale, sugar and spice, unicorns, butterflies…the list is endless. Because when it comes to “girly” there is always more glitter, and always more fluff. Problematic? We’ll let you be the judge.
At Superior Celebrations, we like to showcase events that inspire and delight. Whether that event is a simple backyard barbecue or a black-tie affair, we love to feature those celebrations that elevate moments into memories and stand out as truly superior.
Celebrating the arrival of that first baby is a special hallmark for all couples. It is perfectly fitting that your first baby’s shower be over-the-top, as was the case for mommy-to-be Carlee.
Carlee and her husband Louis are blessed to welcome a sweet baby girl in just a few short weeks! They were gracious enough to let us share with you some of the details from their precious baby shower celebrating their baby girl.
Carlee is part of a large family, and tradition prompts the “aunties” to throw a shower for every new baby that gets added to the brood. Because this is Carlee’s first, the aunties pulled all the stops to give her a fantastic celebration of all things pink, ruffled, and covered with glitter!
Guests walked up a walkway lined with an arbor of pink balloons. No secret a party is happening here!
A pink teddy bear and princess balloon greeted every guest at the doorbell. Is that a tiara on the teddy bear? Why, yes. Yes, it is.
Gold sequined table runners lined every table, and guests got to take away a bottle of “It’s a Girl” O.P.I nail polish as a favor. Um, yah. Major score on the party favors!
The floral arrangements also carried out the “royal” theme with golden crowns for a vase.
Carlee’s cake was a rosy affair with a gorgeous sprinkle of glitter on the icing. And what’s a cake without it’s very own crown?
Guests were invited to craft up their very own headband or bow for baby girl. She will not be wanting in the accessory department!
With all the pink floating around, hand-dipped strawberries were an absolute necessity. Chocolate-dipped fruit is a great sweet to serve because guests can rationalize eating “fruit.” {Wink, wink}
What’s a party without a photo booth? Guests gathered around to pose with the mommy-to-be. Photo booths are always a fun way to get your guests moving. The photos make for a great guest book!
Overall, it was a perfectly sweet and girly celebration of a new life coming into the world. We are so happy for you, Carlee and Louis. Congratulations and thank you for sharing your photos with us!
